Component Platform
The Trebax Component Platform consists of the following modules, which Trebax has licensed and provides to its customers at no additional cost:
AdCelerity: Allows the end user to build a print-ready advertisement. User chooses a template, selects images, text, and a logo, then generates the ad in .pdf format for downloading by the advertiser.
Ad Rotation Tools: Facilitates the implementation of rotating advertisements display on web pages. The display also provides click-through to more detailed advertisements. The tools provide for administration of the ads, including adding, deleting, and editing the advertisement and uploading images.
Catalog Engine: Facilitates the building of an on-line catalog. Provides a hierarchical navigation of the catalog. Provides administrative tools to configure the site, ad brands, add products, enter text, and upload related images.
Documentation Manager/Administrator: Allows the web-site owner to design any professional, template-formatted document for posting. For example, this tool can be configured to produce press releases, analyst reports, or white papers. Provides basic formatting capabilities, as well as the ability to improve formatting by using HTML directly. This is a key advantage, as it does not require any plug-ins such as a .pdf reader. Includes document upload utility.
Extensible Application Server Framework: Provides a high-level means of handling web requests and communicating with the web server process. Automatically loads all information relevant to the page request and facilitates dynamic creation of web pages using HTML templates.
File Upload Utility: Provides an interface on the web-site for uploading and processing documents, an important feature for sites that feature administrative tools.
Forum for Interactive Discussion Groups: Provides an online user group where web-site visitors can post questions or comments. Other users can then reply to these messages. Administration tools are also provided.
Mail Collector Service: Allows a client to store emails sent by a web-site visitor. Emails can then be searched, and mass or individual replies can be generated and sent.
Retailer Locator: Provides a web-site visitor with the capability to search for the closest retailer or distributor. Can be configured to search for only those retailers who sell particular brands or products. Allows for additional profiles to be set up, thus providing additional retail locators on the same web site. This feature is especially useful for clients with regional promotions who need a locator to display only participating retailers.
Security Tool: Helps detect unauthorized site changes by keeping track of site file timestamp and data changes. This tool can be configured to alert site support staff by sending a page, email, or telephone message when unauthorized changes are attempted.
Site Logging Tool: Keeps track of user hits, unique users, and general click streams -- information used to analyze user behavior on the site. This tool can generate custom reports, useful in determining which pages cause users to exit from the web-site prematurely, and which ones inspire users to order products or take other positive actions.
Speakers/Convention Management Tool: Online tool for managing speaker engagements and schedules. This tool can also be configured to include virtual interactive forums such as chats, Net Events, or Online Seminars.
Web-Based Job/Time Tracking Application: Allows a client to track jobs, estimates, and time. The applications provides a workflow to allow managers to review their employees' timesheets. Users can fill out their timesheets online, adding line items dynamically as needed.
